How to keep page and text formatting of source file while post-editing

Very often we work with files that have various types of text formatting such as bold, italic, highlight, hyperlinks etc. In Ailaysa, you can easily apply the formatting to output file using graphic elements called tags

Tags are visual representations of the formatting in a source file. Formatted text in the source file are shown enclosed within a pair of tags in the Transeditor

Formatted words are enclosed within a pair of numbered tags in the source. You can see blue tags with numbers, each in pairs.

On clicking the target segment, the tags are placed at the end of the segment.

Translators should read the text and decide where to place the tags in the target sentence.

To apply formatting,

  • Select a tag by clicking on a tag
  • Place the cursor in the required position in the target sentence. Now the tag is moved to the new position.

  • Repeat the procedure for closing tag as well.
  • Confirm the segment to save the changes.

Now the formatting is successfully applied to the text within the tags in the target segment.
