Creating a project

In Transeditor, there are two ways to create a project: From home page or from within Transeditor itself.

Creating a project from home page

Steps to create a project from home page:

  1. Go to home page
  2. On the big text area, add text in the first tab, or add files in the second tab. (See: Supported file formats)
  3. In the bottom of the text area, select a source language and one or more target languages.
  4. Click Get started.
  5. If you have already logged in, you will be taken to the transeditor. If you haven’t logged in, you will be prompted to do so. If you visit us for the first time, sign up first. (It is a simple process and free!). Once logged in successfully, you will be taken to transeditor.
  6. In Projects List tab of transeditor, you can see your new project is created and listed.

In the text area, if you have added text under Add Text tab or added a single file under Add Files tab and selected only one target language, the text/file will be directly opened in Transeditor workspace after successfully logging in.

Creating a project in transeditor

  1. Log in (Don’t have an account? Sign up and log in)
  2. If you are logging in for the first time, you will be taken to the User portal.  At Dashboard, click Start now. You will be redirected to Transeditor. If you have logged in previously, you will be directly taken to Transeditor.
  3. Click Project Setup tab (second tab)
  4. Give a suitable name for your project
  5. Ailaysa currently uses Google Translate as the machine translation engine. More engines like Microsoft Translator, Amazon Translate will be available soon
  6. Select a source language and one or more target languages.
  7. Upload one or more files
  8. Click Create
  9. In Project List tab of Transeditor, the created project will be listed at the top
